DAMAC Properties’ Managing Director Ali Sajwani has been recently awarded the prestigious Next Generation Award by the Family Business Council Gulf.
The award recognises business leaders between the ages of 18-40 who have launched a venture, driven innovation or helped diversify their family business. Innovation is fundamental to ensuring the continuity of family enterprises and Ali Sajwani has been at the helm of DAMAC’s digitisation drive. DAMAC’s technology department has bagged multiple awards for its hardware and software developments and has been successful in recruiting top techies to come work for the Company and lead it into the future.

A true believer in the power of technology, Ali has also launched D-Labs, DAMAC Group’s initiative to embark into the world of the metaverse and build its own digital cities becoming one of the pioneers in the GCC to do so with a total investment of US$100 million.
Apart from overseeing DAMAC’s digisitation drive, Ali also looks after several other crucial departments in the Company including Customer Relations Management, Handover, Collections, Hospitality, MIS analytics and Digital and Creative Marketing.
From a young age, Ali has shadowed his father, DAMAC Chairman Hussain Sajwani, learning the ins and outs of the family business. Not only has Ali taken on a lot of responsibility at such a young age, but he has been a defining and innovative voice in the Company, leading by example. Since becoming Managing Director, Ali has nabbed several prestigious awards and accolades such as Arabian Business’ 40 And Under: The Region’s Most Influential Young Business Leaders.
